On Friday I had my requested Queche dinner and got a big surprise with a new HP Mini Netbook. That night Morgan also had her first piano recital and she did great!
Yesterday we went to our neighbors house for a 100 day celebration for their son. It is a Korean tradition to celebrate this before their first birthday. There were ton's of people and lots of great Korean food. The kids got to play on a big blow-up water slide they had in their back yard. They had a blast. Then we went to our town center and the kids played on blow-up rides, played miniature golf and had fun! The community has a Freedom Festival the Saturday before 4th of July every year. Last year we missed it, we hadn't moved to Virginia yet. Then we hung out on some blankets in the grass and watched the fireworks. Drew's first time to see them and he handled the sights and sounds really well. He didn't handle the lack of sleep this morning very well though. He was a grouch!
It is hard to believe we've almost been here a year! It has flown by, but in some ways it feels like forever ago that we moved here.
Jenna is off to Girls Camp Monday through Friday this week. Every year the girls in our congregation between ages 12 and 16 go to a camp. Jenna enjoyed it when she was growing up and she is excited to help. Although she has been stressed with so much work to do to get things ready. I hope it doesn't rain all week on them!
So it is me and the kids and Grandma and Grandpa Little will be coming down to spend some time with us and watch the kids while I work Wednesday and Thursday. We have a mid-year audit, so I need to make sure everything is ready for the auditors.
