Christmas Picture

We just got this family picture from our church Christmas party. It was a night in Bethlehem, so everyone dressed in old attire and the cultural hall was decorated like old Bethlehem. It's been a while, but thought I'd post since I just got it today. And yes, that is a Return of the Jedi pillow case on Ethan's head. :)

Busy Week

We had a busy week with lots to do.

Wednesday night Morgan, Ethan and I went to the Georgetown vs. Syracuse basketball game down in DC.  John my brother-in-law (Marissa's husband) is a huge Syracuse fan, so he came down from Pennsylvania to attend.  We also invited a friend of mine and his son to attend.  Unfortunately, Georgetown was too much for the Orange that night.  I think we all had a good time though!

The next morning Morgan came running into our room saying it had snowed. Snow? We haven't had any snow this year! I looked outside to see a very thin dusting of snow.  Not what I would

 call snow, but it was enough for an hour delay for the kid's school.  Got to love Virginia, dusting of snow and school is delayed.  Who know's what will happen if we get an inch of snow!  See the picture of the dusting in the post.

We also got our first VW minivan, it's called a Routan.  I never thought we'd drive a minivan, but 3 kids later the functionality and space is just too good to pass up.  Ok, it also has satelite radio for Disney Radio for the kids and rear seat entertainment to keep the kids happy on longer road trips.  Either way, we've officially joined the Minivan clan...  See picture included, ours is silver.

Little Family Christmas

This was special Christmas because for the first time in too many years everyone in my family was together.  All my sisters and their families were able to be in Pennsylvania for Christmas.

In preparation for Christmas we had to make some cookies...

Michele and Melanie's families flew in Christmas day to Dulles(right near our house)  and we had Christmas dinner here.  Unfortunately, Marissa had to work in the afternoon, so John, Marissa and the kids couldn't come down.  The next day we swung by the Outlet stores in Leesburg and headed to Pennsylvania.

Saturday we went to the Little Family Christmas party. (My Dad's family's celebration)

Monday John, Matt, Hayden, Morgan and I went and played 18 holes of pitch and putt golf.  John won and Morgan and Hayden played well!

We went to Chocolate World in Hershey, PA.  

We celebrated New Year's Eve at Marissa and John's house.  Capped off with a count down with the Ball in NYC's Time's Square.
